This timeline pulls together research from historic press coverage of New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc. (NUMMI), the joint-venture plant between GM and Toyota.
NUMMI has long been held as a one of the best plants in the country, with relatively collaborative labor relations, a highly efficient production process, and some of the lowest default rates in the industry.
