What a wonderful way to tie in litercy, life and community to a well thought out lesson. It’s refreshing to see that that Police Officers being portrayed in a positive light. That was fantastic that Offiver Gebhardt took the time and displayed his appreciation to literacy for our furture young adults. And what a charming Officer he makes!

Officer Gebhardt had best be careful – he might get assigned to PR. It sounds like he probably has children himself, or nieces and nephews. This sounds like a program that was very well planned. It was for this kind of relationship that we voted for community policing – personal relationships create happier and safer communities.

“Thirty Fremont preschoolers at Glankler School got a head start in global learning skills last Thursday afternoon via a folk tale from Afghanistan and a visit from a member of Fremont’s Police department.”

This a innovating. I hope we could formulate better ways to teach young students. Interaction cannot be underestimated.
